Got a nice letter in the mail

We received a letter from the U.S. Embassy in Guatemala regarding a letter I had written them a few weeks ago. It has some good news about 'in process' adoptions. About a month ago, if you hadn't read it on an earlier post, Guatemala threatened to shut down all adoptions on Jan 1, 2008. That had us pretty scared obviously. So, to see that the U.S. government is working with the Guatemalans to establish a grandfather clause for cases in process, makes us feel a lot better about the situation. Nothing is firm yet, but it looks positive.
