Media attention

So the good news is that the plight of Guatemalan adoptions is getting some attention not only nationally, but on a local level as well. A family in Seattle met with King5 to explain the situation facing the 5,000 orphans in Guatemala and the families here in the U.S. waiting to bring them home. They did a pretty good job. We are still trying to stay optimistic. We are waiting for preapproval as well as the completion of family court before entering PGN. We are going to call our agency tonight to see if they have heard anything. On days like today we just need to know that something is happening and progressing to bring Ava home. Today was Ava's first visit to the Zoo. She loved it! A lot of arm waiving and leg kicking. Not a ton of smiles, because she was probably overwhelmed. We could tell she really enjoyed it though, we can only imagine what goes through the mind of a ten month old baby when a 2000 lb walrus swims by 10 inches from her face. Click here for pics. Two years have flown by, but the feelings of contentment and amazement just grow stronger and stronger. We are off to Seabrook for the weekend to play in the sand and and reminisce. We are truly, truly blessed! Not much has changed in the packing department :-)
