17 Days to go!

Our trip to Guatemala is coming up quick. Other than that, not much new to report...while we were still on the cruise our pediatrician sent us an email after reviewing the notes from Ava's last check-up. He said that her weight and height are gaining steadily...but she is still in the 3rd percentile.
We are pretty happy with the Doctor we found, he is up in Seattle at the University of Wash. They specialize in adopted babies and have a lot of good info on their site (http://www.adoptmed.org/) While we are on the visit trip, they are on call for us if we have questions or concerns about how she is doing.

Today was Ava's first visit to the Zoo. She loved it! A lot of arm waiving and leg kicking. Not a ton of smiles, because she was probably overwhelmed. We could tell she really enjoyed it though, we can only imagine what goes through the mind of a ten month old baby when a 2000 lb walrus swims by 10 inches from her face. Click here for pics. 2 yrs ago we were doing this....

Two years have flown by, but the feelings of contentment and amazement just grow stronger and stronger. We are off to Seabrook for the weekend to play in the sand and and reminisce. We are truly, truly blessed! Not much has changed in the packing department :-)
