Double Digits

When we got our last update, we forwarded the info to the adoption pediatrician up at UW. We just got his response today and were really happy with what he had to say. When Ava was born she was very low birth weight, so we've been watching that so close these past few months...she was in the 2nd percentile when she was born. Anyway...here's what he wrote:
"So VERY cute! Her measurements are all increased-- weight to 5th percentile, height to 10th percentile, and head circumference to the 20th percentile. Fantastic growth trends...."
We're so happy she's doing so well!

Today was Ava's first visit to the Zoo. She loved it! A lot of arm waiving and leg kicking. Not a ton of smiles, because she was probably overwhelmed. We could tell she really enjoyed it though, we can only imagine what goes through the mind of a ten month old baby when a 2000 lb walrus swims by 10 inches from her face. Click here for pics. 2 yrs ago we were doing this....

Two years have flown by, but the feelings of contentment and amazement just grow stronger and stronger. We are off to Seabrook for the weekend to play in the sand and and reminisce. We are truly, truly blessed! Not much has changed in the packing department :-)
