Embassy Day!!

We just got back from the U.S. embassy a bit ago. It went really great! Just a lot of waiting around (4hrs to be exact) to be called up for a 20 second interview. Ava did great. She napped for a bit and pretty much tolerated the whole ordeal like a rock star! We got there a little before 7am and returned back to the hotel a little before 11am. We got some much needed food and now are headed for a nap. Today marks our "forever family day". Everything is finalized and she will be an automatic U.S. citizen when we touchdown in Houston!! Today is a wonderful day, it is difficult to express how truly happy and in love we are with our sweet princessa. She is amazing!

Today was Ava's first visit to the Zoo. She loved it! A lot of arm waiving and leg kicking. Not a ton of smiles, because she was probably overwhelmed. 2 yrs ago we were doing this....

Two years have flown by, but the feelings of contentment and amazement just grow stronger and stronger. We are off to Seabrook for the weekend to play in the sand and and reminisce. We are truly, truly blessed! Not much has changed in the packing department :-)
