Nine months old today!

So, after a crazy fun weekend, Ava had her well baby check up today. She is doing so great! Can you believe she is now a little over 16lbs!! She has gained over 2lbs in just 6 weeks. Our little sweetie is lovin her some gringo food. Don't get me wrong, this little girl still loves her some rice and beans courtesy of El Toro!! She is getting stronger and is learning new things every day. It is so amazing to see how much progress she has made since her last check up. She did get one shot today (our 1st experience). She didn't know what hit her and did not appreciate it one bit!! She is doing fine now and has forgiven her mommy and daddy for putting her through the trauma. Thank goodness!

Today was Ava's first visit to the Zoo. She loved it! A lot of arm waiving and leg kicking. Not a ton of smiles, because she was probably overwhelmed. 2 yrs ago we were doing this....

Two years have flown by, but the feelings of contentment and amazement just grow stronger and stronger. We are off to Seabrook for the weekend to play in the sand and and reminisce. We are truly, truly blessed! Not much has changed in the packing department :-)
