Pool Inauguration

So, we finally have some summer weather up here in the Pacific NW and we took advantage of it! Ava got her first experience in the pool. We don't think she knew what to make of the whole experience, but she definitely loved the fact that her beloved ducky tub had a bigger pond to swim in! I know we don't have to tell you how much we love this little girl, but these lazy summer days with our daughter are what we have been dreaming about for a really long time! It is, in a word, bliss!

That hat is priceless! I would be excited about the ducky ride too! I wish they had one in my size!

Today was Ava's first visit to the Zoo. She loved it! A lot of arm waiving and leg kicking. Not a ton of smiles, because she was probably overwhelmed. We could tell she really enjoyed it though, we can only imagine what goes through the mind of a ten month old baby when a 2000 lb walrus swims by 10 inches from her face. Click here for pics. 2 yrs ago we were doing this....

Two years have flown by, but the feelings of contentment and amazement just grow stronger and stronger. We are off to Seabrook for the weekend to play in the sand and and reminisce. We are truly, truly blessed! Not much has changed in the packing department :-)
