How do you spell Exhaustion?

Ya, so little miss Ava has had more than a little bit of difficulty adjusting to the time change. Kauai is 3hrs behind us, so that means she is up and active at 11pm our time and is sad and exhausted come 7am when her mean parents wake her up. Poor sweetie seems to be in a constant state of delirium/exhaustion. With a good measure of sweetness thrown in. Apparently, from this time forward, all future vacations will have to be within our current time zone :-) Case in point....

This would be the "post 11pm" delirium...Daddy took a couple of blows from the toy hammer..


Sadly, tonight has not improved much, as she is currently sobbing over a plate of beans and rice and watching HI-5 (both her favorites). Maybe tomorrow will be a turning point?

Oh, well I gave her beans and rice for lunch and she did eat quite a bit we thought. Maybe she wanted some exotic Hawaiian food. We love what a neat eater she is. If a grain or a bean lands on her lips, she instinctually pokes it into her mouth where it belongs. We just love her.

Today was Ava's first visit to the Zoo. She loved it! A lot of arm waiving and leg kicking. Not a ton of smiles, because she was probably overwhelmed. 2 yrs ago we were doing this....

Two years have flown by, but the feelings of contentment and amazement just grow stronger and stronger. We are off to Seabrook for the weekend to play in the sand and and reminisce. We are truly, truly blessed! Not much has changed in the packing department :-)
