First blood...

Yes, Ava got her first owie tonight. We knew it was bound to happen with her newly learned mobility. Thankfully she was just crawling and not walking when her hands slipped forward and her face hit the pergo. She was more than a little ticked off and we were more than a little traumatized when we saw blood tickling from her mouth. Needless to say, Ava recovered much more quickly than we did. Sorry no pics, we were too busy overreacting to Ava's minor trauma. All is well again...

I'm okay. Are you sure you two are alright?

Glad she's ok. The same thing happened on Wednesday at our house on the wood floor she was crawling and fell forward and bumped her head. Shook her up but after some love from Grandma and Grandpa she was fine.

Today was Ava's first visit to the Zoo. She loved it! A lot of arm waiving and leg kicking. Not a ton of smiles, because she was probably overwhelmed. We could tell she really enjoyed it though, we can only imagine what goes through the mind of a ten month old baby when a 2000 lb walrus swims by 10 inches from her face. Click here for pics. Two years have flown by, but the feelings of contentment and amazement just grow stronger and stronger. We are off to Seabrook for the weekend to play in the sand and and reminisce. We are truly, truly blessed! Not much has changed in the packing department :-)
