Top Chef...Ava!

Inspired by her cousin Spencer, Ava was a baking fool today. Daddy was her sous chef. They baked some delicious sourdough bread and some equally tempting double chocolate brownies. The house smelled yummy! Below are their creations...

I never considered adding 'pacha paraphernalia' to sourdough bread! Creates a hidden layer of flavor I'm sure! Let me know how it turns out Chef Ava Bella!

Today was Ava's first visit to the Zoo. She loved it! A lot of arm waiving and leg kicking. Not a ton of smiles, because she was probably overwhelmed. We could tell she really enjoyed it though, we can only imagine what goes through the mind of a ten month old baby when a 2000 lb walrus swims by 10 inches from her face. Click here for pics. 2 yrs ago we were doing this....

Two years have flown by, but the feelings of contentment and amazement just grow stronger and stronger. We are off to Seabrook for the weekend to play in the sand and and reminisce. We are truly, truly blessed! Not much has changed in the packing department :-)
