Happiest place on earth...

..yup, pretty much. We all had a great day at Disneyland. Ava was not quite sure what to make of the whole ordeal initially, but she figured things out pretty quickly and was all smiles and giggles. We got some great pics of Ava with Belle and The Little Mermaid. She did great with the princesses, but was a little freaked out by Mickey and his friends (people dressed as animals, large rodents especially, tend to freak her out) She is napping now, and then we are headed back to California Adventure Park to see the light parade. So much fun!!!

That was fun watching Ava on the jungle cruise. Such concentration as the boat went past the elephants. I'm not sure though who is having more fun. Ava or Mom and Dad?

Today was Ava's first visit to the Zoo. She loved it! A lot of arm waiving and leg kicking. Not a ton of smiles, because she was probably overwhelmed. We could tell she really enjoyed it though, we can only imagine what goes through the mind of a ten month old baby when a 2000 lb walrus swims by 10 inches from her face. Click here for pics. 2 yrs ago we were doing this....

Two years have flown by, but the feelings of contentment and amazement just grow stronger and stronger. We are off to Seabrook for the weekend to play in the sand and and reminisce. We are truly, truly blessed! Not much has changed in the packing department :-)
