New Dawn Chidren's Home...

You may have noticed the new icon found on the right side of the blog. We are excited to announce that our agency is in the works to open up an orphanage in Guatemala! Orphans in Guatemala are in dire straits right now due to the fact that international adoptions have been "temporarily" halted. The Guatemalan government is in the process of establishing new regulations and laws for international adoption in order to be compliant with "The Hague Treaty" (international guidelines for adoption). These new laws, once in place, will serve as a great protection for both children and birth mothers in Guatemala. The problem is that, until these laws are put into effect, thousand of children are being displaced and abandoned. Children are dying literally in the streets without anyone to care for them. Our agency, European Adoption Consultants, has retained a home and some beds, but is still in need of much, much more. Please take time to go to their website EACI to see all they have done for these beautiful children in need. We are also thrilled that they are planning on using some of the same foster moms that they used when adoptions were still in process. We are very hopeful that they choose Ava's foster mom. She was amazing! Many of the foster moms are still out of work and are struggling to support their families as well. We would be so very grateful for any donations you may give to this worthy cause.
