Project: Pigeon Rescue.....

This afternoon we were startled with a loud thud on our window, followed by a plume of falling feathers. Upon further investigation, we found a stunned pigeon underneath our outdoor stairs with a 'probable concussion'. Jim's EMT certification had expired and without an X-ray machine on hand, we were pretty helpless. We devised a plan to save the pigeon. The elements outside had taken a turn for the worse (more snow!) so time was of the essence. The pigeon would certainly die without intervention! Jim geared up. I assembled a perfect pigeon coup (a tequila box with paper towels). Not sure how we got the box, but handy nevertheless. After multiple attempts and coaxing, the pigeon decided we were both a little crazy and flew out to safety. Thus ended our exciting pigeon rescue effort. We are such dorks!!

Our would be pigeon hero!

I'm thinkin a Mexican Pigeon would have stayed in the box until he was cured.

Having once rescued a pigeon in Rouge Park and taking it home for his mother to nurse, Uncle Dan is very proud of you. We were on one of our first dates and the pigeon was more important than I!! Be thankful it flew away - my mother in law took care of it in her kitchen for several days....
