Forever Family Day!

Today marks our 1yr anniversary of "Forever Family Day", the day we took Ava to the embassy and she was legally ours forever. I am far too emotional to put into words all that I am feeling today as I reflect on all of amazing gifts we have been given, so hopefully this will give you an idea of how we feel on this very special day...

A year ago today we were wondering how the plane ride home would go...now I am watching a year flash before my eyes.
I wish we could slow down time. Ava is our family now. She brings us all happiness. I look forward to what the coming years bring us.

A year gone by...and many, many more to come! Wow! Little Miss Ava is one special little sweetie:O) It's been fun watching her change and grow this past year. Children are amazing in that they make you 'stop and smell the roses' and not take advantage of the life Jehovah has given us. Reminds us of how important that 'gift' is and of the need to 'treasure' life and the child/children he's given us to nurture.
Milla and Gabriella love Little Miss and are glad to have a little one/little sis in their life.
Chris is amazed at how early the 'girl' charm is turned on...or off:O) Her eyeroll is hilarious! And he's glad he gets some of the perks of a little one around w/o the diaper changing!

Soak up each moment and all the phases of life that come w/being a Mommy and Daddy...the years go by way to fast!

It's been a wonderful year!! I felt the same way about mine and still haven't really blogged anything. This whole week has been a week of "remembering" and being thankful.

Today was Ava's first visit to the Zoo. She loved it! A lot of arm waiving and leg kicking. Not a ton of smiles, because she was probably overwhelmed. 2 yrs ago we were doing this....

Two years have flown by, but the feelings of contentment and amazement just grow stronger and stronger. We are off to Seabrook for the weekend to play in the sand and and reminisce. We are truly, truly blessed! Not much has changed in the packing department :-)
