Visit with the Lathams...

We had a good time down in California. Sunny and warm. It's always fun to watch all the kids interact together, especially Ava and Bubba (Myles). Ava did so-so on the flights...on the way there, she had her own seat. That was a good thing. On the way back, she had to sit on our laps...she did ok for about an hour, then got quite upset a few times. She showed us a new scream...several octaves higher than the one we were already familiar with. The passenger in seat 18c may have had an in-flight magazine thrown in his direction. Thankfully it did not hit him.

Today was Ava's first visit to the Zoo. She loved it! A lot of arm waiving and leg kicking. Not a ton of smiles, because she was probably overwhelmed. We could tell she really enjoyed it though, we can only imagine what goes through the mind of a ten month old baby when a 2000 lb walrus swims by 10 inches from her face. Click here for pics. 2 yrs ago we were doing this....

Two years have flown by, but the feelings of contentment and amazement just grow stronger and stronger. We are off to Seabrook for the weekend to play in the sand and and reminisce. We are truly, truly blessed! Not much has changed in the packing department :-)
