Back home...
Yesterday was quite a day of traveling. We woke up at about 5am, drove 4hrs south back to the Rome airport. Then, we had a 9 hr flight to Newark NJ followed by a mad dash through customs and trying to get to our next terminal for the 5hr flight to Seattle.
Ava did great throughout it all. A few melt downs, but that's probably normal for anyone, doing that much in one day. She has been asking about Gma, Gpa, Mike, Leo and of course Tee-Di. She's in a great mood today, running around grabbing toys, clothes out of her drawers, pointing at her dog Asia, and doing a fair share of eating. I uploaded the last of the most recent pictures to the Toscana album, on our picassa site.
After a long day tending to the vinyard.
This was the sunrise while we were loading up for the long drive.
Cappucino at the rest-stop.The Italian highway system has regular stops along the autostrada, about ever 20 miles. There is a restaurant, shopping (everything from wine, olive oil, salami and toys) and a gas station. What a country.
After landing at SeaTac.
