Summer?

Eleven days from the official start of summer, but don't tell Washington. The weather's been nice since we've been back from Italy and hopefully it'll stay that way through October. Wishful thinking? Probably...In the meantime we'll just enjoy it. We took a little trip to the zoo this afternoon, then to Owens Beach. A small boat passing by caused a small tsunami that was not appreciated by Ava...

Trip to the Zoo

Today was Ava's first visit to the Zoo. She loved it! A lot of arm waiving and leg kicking. Not a ton of smiles, because she was probably overwhelmed. We could tell she really enjoyed it though, we can only imagine what goes through the mind of a ten month old baby when a 2000 lb walrus swims by 10 inches from her face. Click here for pics. 2 yrs ago we were doing this....

Two years have flown by, but the feelings of contentment and amazement just grow stronger and stronger. We are off to Seabrook for the weekend to play in the sand and and reminisce. We are truly, truly blessed! Not much has changed in the packing department :-)
