Day 3...

Yesterday was the final day of the convention for us. Ava did pretty well overall, but was more than ready to be done by the concluding song. I am pretty sure we can all relate:-) It was a really nice convention though. It is crazy how physically exhausting you get, but at the same time, you feel so emotionally uplifted! Afterward we went to BBQ at some friends house. Ava loves baby Isla. She is so gentle with her. It was really cute to watch them play together. Eli was a bit of a different story. They have some serious competition going on. I am not sure if they know what the are competing for, but it is on never the less. Eli is such a cutie! It was a really fun, but exhausting day. We are all laying low today, recovering from a crazy fun weekend!

Don't let the one sitting picture fool you. This girl was a girl on the move! What else would you expect from an almost 2yr old bundle of energy?
She had a blast playing with the other kids.

Trip to the Zoo

Today was Ava's first visit to the Zoo. She loved it! A lot of arm waiving and leg kicking. Not a ton of smiles, because she was probably overwhelmed. We could tell she really enjoyed it though, we can only imagine what goes through the mind of a ten month old baby when a 2000 lb walrus swims by 10 inches from her face. Click here for pics. 2 yrs ago we were doing this....

Two years have flown by, but the feelings of contentment and amazement just grow stronger and stronger. We are off to Seabrook for the weekend to play in the sand and and reminisce. We are truly, truly blessed! Not much has changed in the packing department :-)
