Getting to be such a big girl!!

We took Ava for her 2yr well baby check up today. She did great! She insisted on bringing her own "bump, bump, bump" (aka stethoscope) to the appointment. Too funny! She is now 26lbs and 32" tall! The pediatrician was really happy with her progress. Ava did have to get one shot. She did amazing though. She watched the whole time and did not so much as flinch when she got the shot. We were completely amazed! We are so proud of our big girl. We intend to spend the rest of our day preparing for our big trip to Sunriver in just 4 days!! We are all really excited to get away and spend time with family. Here are some pics from today...

That's so noble of her not to be fazed by the shot. Did she think "I know what your going to do next and it must be okay because my parents keep bringing me here and other than the poke you seem like a pretty nice doctor". She's one smart girl and so grown up.

Today was Ava's first visit to the Zoo. She loved it! A lot of arm waiving and leg kicking. Not a ton of smiles, because she was probably overwhelmed. We could tell she really enjoyed it though, we can only imagine what goes through the mind of a ten month old baby when a 2000 lb walrus swims by 10 inches from her face. Click here for pics. 2 yrs ago we were doing this....

Two years have flown by, but the feelings of contentment and amazement just grow stronger and stronger. We are off to Seabrook for the weekend to play in the sand and and reminisce. We are truly, truly blessed! Not much has changed in the packing department :-)
