Ava's third memorial...

...and she did awesome!!! Memorials hold special memories for us. Obviously it is very special, as it commemorates the anniversary of Christ's death. Another reason that it is so special to us is because Ava's first memorial with us, as a family, was via Skype in our hotel room in Guatemala on our pick up trip . That was a very special and unique memorial for us and one I will always cherish. Tonight, two years later, I watched my daughter get so excited about this special night, "memorial meeting night!!", and it made me feel happy and content! She may not understand the full importance of what tonight means, but on some level, she is getting it. How cool is that?!! :-)
Tonight was also Ava's first memorial with her cousins. Always a bonus as far as Ava is concerned :-)

Today was Ava's first visit to the Zoo. She loved it! A lot of arm waiving and leg kicking. Not a ton of smiles, because she was probably overwhelmed. We could tell she really enjoyed it though, we can only imagine what goes through the mind of a ten month old baby when a 2000 lb walrus swims by 10 inches from her face. Click here for pics. 2 yrs ago we were doing this....

Two years have flown by, but the feelings of contentment and amazement just grow stronger and stronger. We are off to Seabrook for the weekend to play in the sand and and reminisce. We are truly, truly blessed! Not much has changed in the packing department :-)
