Home Sweet Home...
We got home on Saturday and have been slowly getting back into the swing of things. Jim was less than thrilled to return to work and Ava was less than thrilled to find that, after a full week of daddy 24/7, he was gone this morning :-( I guess I will just have to do until his return this afternoon :-)
We really had a great vacation! The weather was beyond gorgeous. Ava loved the "big ship"! I was really glad that we buffered both sides of the cruise with some fun adventures. The last day of our vacation we spent in L.A. and took a trolley to Manhattan Beach. It was a really cute area with lots of shops and restaurants. We spent most of the time at the beach and on the pier. There was a pod of dolphins playing nearby and it was so fun to see them in their natural habitat, playing and swimming through the waves. Soo cool! The flight home was great too! We were able to fly standby and get a flight home 2hrs earlier than expected and little missy slept the entire flight (such a blessing for everyone involved)! When we were landing she woke up and were telling her that the pilot had done a good job flying the plane and getting us home safely. As we were leaving the plane, Ava made a point of stopping at the cockpit to tell the pilot "nice job pilot, nice job". Such a sweetie! She had the flight attendants gushing and me in tears. Man, I love this little girl so much!!!
Jim downloaded a ton of pics from the cruise on our picture site, so I am just going to post a couple from our last day in LA...
Thanks grandpa!! :-)
My hair matches the palm trees!
