Breaking News....

The potty training has begun and after two days, 30+ attempts and 8 accidents we have had our first success!! Little miss Ava asked to go on the "big girl potty" yesterday afternoon and it has been a family adventure ever since. Jim has been eagerly anticipating taking her to get her long promised toy, once she officially went and he promptly whisked her away to do just that immediately after the deed was done:-) It is a happy day here as I am sure you can imagine. Potty dances and cheers all around!!

Addendum: We got to Fred Meyer, and Ava decided to suddenly be scarred of the toy section (Target flash back of large robotic gorilla (???) ) so we headed over to the grocery side and picked up some training diapers and some promised candy. I was able to talk her out of her fears, and we went back to the toy dept. I was planning getting her an electronic gadget like a leapster or v-tech, but all she really wanted was a Lego set, and on the way out a 'Handy Manny' tool belt caught her eye.
