Spring photo shoot with Mandi...

I know what you are thinking. Ava is a well documented little girl. We take tons of photos nearly every day, I know;-) Why do we need professional pics when we have so many shots of our little chica already?? For many reasons, really, but instead of naming all of them, let me just say that Mandi has an amazing talent of bringing out a side of Ava that many of you don't see. Ava responds to Mandi beautifully and it is such a proud mommy moment to see Ava stand on her own with such poise and confidence. Ava truly is an old soul. She is beautiful inside and out and it is really special for me to see it through Mandi's interpretation. There were so many great shots the real problem is trying to narrow down which ones to get;-) We went to Seattle for the shoot and I was really hoping to get a "vintagey urban feel" . I think Mandi did a great job of capturing that feel. Below are a few of my favorite:

Today was Ava's first visit to the Zoo. She loved it! A lot of arm waiving and leg kicking. Not a ton of smiles, because she was probably overwhelmed. We could tell she really enjoyed it though, we can only imagine what goes through the mind of a ten month old baby when a 2000 lb walrus swims by 10 inches from her face. Click here for pics. 2 yrs ago we were doing this....

Two years have flown by, but the feelings of contentment and amazement just grow stronger and stronger. We are off to Seabrook for the weekend to play in the sand and and reminisce. We are truly, truly blessed! Not much has changed in the packing department :-)
