Flood 2009!

So...this wasn't our house, but the shock of stepping into 2+ of ice cold water at 6:30 am yesterday in our basement living area (where we spend most of our time) was not a good feeling. Washington got record rainfall, and our house, unfortunately was a relatively small victim. We have recovered, and have a plan. The downstairs will be completely remodeled. (over the course of the next few months) In the mean time we have relocated to our upstairs. A lot of people have it much worse, so we'll count our blessings and roll with it.




This (below) was after frantically moving the downstairs stuff upstairs within about 45 min. Fortunately Ava stayed asleep during all the commotion.

Thanks go out to Grandma Kathleen and Grandpa Tom (Papapa) for all their help and for taking us in last night. Also to Grandpa Larry who lent us his truck. You all really helped us get through this difficult time. Thank you so much!
