We are soo proud....

..of this little sweetie!! My niece, Emma, ran her first 5K yesterday and she rocked it!! She and her friend were the youngest in the race. It looks like she had a blast running with her mommy. We are soo proud of you Emma , you too Beth :-)!!

I got called in yesterday(booo!), so it was a "Daddy and Ava Day". They started out with Ava's fave lunch spot, El Toro (we will have black beans and rice leftovers for days). Then they headed to the park to explore. It was a gorgeous day and they had such a great time!! Jim is such an amazing daddy. He always thinks of fun adventures for the two of them to do while I am tied up with work. Ava and I are some fortunate girls. Don't you think? :-)

After their day of fun, they relaxed and watched the Seahawks game followed by the Mariners game. Jim and Ava are going to the Mariners game today and she cannot stop talking about it. She is sooo excited! I did get a frantic call at work last night from Jim, however. Apparently Ava had stuck a piece of rice cake up her nose again. Believe it or not this was her second time! This time she had managed to stuff it way up there, beyond Jim's ability to retrieve it. She just kept saying "boogger" and "rite cake". Jim was in a bit of a panic. After a few attempts to blow her nose, he finally got it out. :-) If only I could have been a fly on the wall for this adventure!! Heehee - This morning Ava's version of the story was this: "rite cake, nose, up, up...nooo no"

Katie that is so funny. I'm sitting on the back porch laughing. She wasn't that graphic when she told us of her experience this afternoon at the ball game. But your story is great. I think a book is in order for some day, "down the road" loaded with Ava stories. I know I'd buy a thousand copies.
