Highlights...

It has been a great few days with little missy! Jim decided to have an Ava/Daddy day this past Thursday and they went to the science center for some fun. They had a really great time. This weekend was our first taste of fall. It was a stormy, rainy weekend which was perfect for some cozy, down time. We did end up going to Uncle Steve and Auntie Kim's house for dinner though. Ava was so excited to see them. She loves their dog, Ozzy and practiced saying "sit down Ozzy" the whole drive to their house. So cute! She loves her auntie Kim so much and scored some super cute handmade PJ's. She waited patiently all day today to put them on and is now proudly wearing them. She makes sure to remind me that "auntie Kim" made them for her and wants to "wear right now!". So funny. She also loves snuggling up to "greet kanpa" (great grandpa). I love seeing her be so gentle and lovey with him. It was a fun weekend and a great taste of fall. I am really looking forward to more cozy days to come! Here are some highlights...

Tumbling and playa-latte...

It has been a fun couple of days. Yesterday was tumbling day. They are starting to work on a "routine" for a recital in June. It is soo funny! They work on there steps and moves, and all seems to be ok, then the teacher turns on the music and all havoc breaks loose! They have a bunch of toddlers in there own world hopping around and running everywhere! Total chaos. It is totally priceless :-) Ava loves it so much and I love watching her get so excited. Super cute! The rain boots have yet to see a drop of rain. They have pretty much become glorified house shoes. Ava wears them with everything! Today we went to a cool place called "Playa-latte". It is a fun play place for kids and serves coffee for the moms. It is a perfect place for the kids to burn off some energy while the moms catch up. Ava's partner in crime, Jake, came with us. Three years ago today....

This amazing miracle entered our life. She was just three days old when we first set eyes on our little sweetie. She has been our joy and blessing ever since. I am so grateful to be Ava's mommy! She brightens the day and warms the heart of every one she come in contact with. Watching her grow, learn and become such a beautiful little girl is a privilege and a gift I will cherish forever. We love you soo much our sweet little Ava!

The true journey began..

(Warning..the following is one of a series of reflective gushing's from a mom totally in love. It will be one mushy week) ..a year ago today! A year ago today we were boarding a plane to pick up Ava and start the adventures of parenting. After years of yearning and months of waiting for new pics,updates and final approval we were going to have our daughter home with us forever. It was then that the true sense of being a mother took hold. Since then I have tried to take in every moment. Embracing the ups the downs and all of the greatness in between. Ava has brought us so much joy! She has filled our hearts and completed our family in a truly amazing way. I dreamt and imagined what it would be like to be a mother for so long, but the crazy thing is, the reality is better than even my vivid imagination could conjure up. It is real and is amazing! The best part? This amazing journey is just beginning. I feel so blessed...
